| Program Guidelines:The Washington Hearing Society is dedicated to supporting its members and community of Washington State. One of the ways WHS supports its communities is by assisting in implementing accessibility for people who are hard of hearing and educating the public on hearing loss and hearing prevention. This mission of Washington Hearing Society Gives back is to facilitate and support individuals with hearing impairment within the community. The vision of Washington Hearing Society Gives Back is to provide assistance to organizations or individuals to make experiences more accessible and to provide education on hearing loss and hearing preventive measures. The purpose of the Washington Hearing Society Gives Back Fund is to provide scholarships to candidates or organizations intended to improve accessibility for those with hearing impairment or educated individuals on hearing loss/hearing prevention. The WHS Gives Back Fund award ceiling is $20,000 annually. Typical awards can range from $500 to $2,500. An award request exceeding $2,500 will be on an individual basis requiring additional information, an interview and further review by the WHS Board. The Fund will be awarded based on applicants’ application and financial request. |
